Hagbart Solløs

Smoke-black rock opened after millions of years, finished thus.
The clerft surfaces rugged and grey, after thousands of blows a near-compleat form, stock-hammered, spontaneously rough hewn.
After endless polishing - light-responding object - black, gleaming, the stone is seald anew within the bounds of its own reflected light.

The Work
Thought revealed for some thousand years.
Sculpture - the patient probing into the nature of all stone.
The shape of silence formed in stone, not otherwise, but precisely so.
Visible calm, warmed by sun and human gaze.
